Andaman Sea: What an interesting landscape. It reminds us of the National Heritage site in Indonesia - Raja Ampet. There are many islands to explore, open hongs and heaps of tourists to avoid.

Krabi Province: This may be what Phuket was a couple decades ago. More laid back, friendly people and the same weather. For us, worth a visit so much that we chose to bring the boat here to haul out.

Phuket: The area of Phuket is like that of any big city. Not Miami, or NYC. But big like Denpesar, Bali, and Queensland Australia. There are some places a cruiser can hang. Here are some of the most Australian priced marainas and with some even pricier. The charter traffic has the feel of the Caribbean. The marinas are full of charterers and boats for sale. Still, it is worth a one time visit.

Satun: An out of the way place with a touch of old Thailand. The town is a bit from the anchorage. Officialdom is pleasant and exact. One shipyard that has some skilled labor but very few yachts.
